Industrial Designers talk a big sustainability game. We do the real work.
In a circular economy, materials and resources are kept in circulation for as long as possible, reducing the environmental impact of production and consumption. The circular economy challenges the traditional linear economic model of "take-make-waste" by redefining products and services to minimize waste, extend product life cycles, and encourage reuse, repair, and recycling.
Longevity: Creating durable products is key to reducing waste and keeping resources in circulation. We specify quality materials and production approaches to ensure that our designs last.
Repairability: We design with easy maintenance and repair in mind. This means using modular components, avoiding adhesives, and providing users with accessible repair guides.
Reusability: Our process involves integrating reuse concepts when products reach the end of their lifecycle. When feasible, we incorporate secondary use cases into our design approach.
Recyclability: If products can’t be repaired or reused, we make sure recyclability is prioritized by selecting easily separated and recycled materials.
Material Efficiency: To minimize resource consumption and waste we design products that require fewer materials to achieve our goal, and target efficient manufacturing processes.
Manufacturer Collaboration: We work closely with our suppliers to ensure that the materials we use in our products are sustainably sourced and have a low environmental impact. By choosing suppliers who share our commitment to the circular economy, we can support responsible manufacturing practices and reduce waste throughout the supply chain.
Continuous Improvement: We are constantly researching and experimenting with new materials, manufacturing techniques, and design approaches to improve the sustainability of our products. We also actively learn from our customers and the wider design community to identify areas for improvement and discover new opportunities for innovation.
Consumer Education: Consumer awareness is crucial and often leads to more brand stickiness. People want to care and we help you get them there.
